Behaviour change strategies

Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the main principles of behaviour, by accurately defining and illustrating each principle, by explaining how each principle is investigated, and by showing how the principles can be combined in the design and implementation of behaviour change strategies; demonstrate skills in collecting, presenting, and critically evaluating behavioural data; demonstrate an appreciation of behaviour analysis as an integrated discipline that makes empirical, methodological and conceptual contributions to knowledge.

Synopsis This subject examines the theoretical concepts underlying behaviour change strategies. Research findings in the field and the skills involved in applying behaviour change strategies in educational, clinical and other practical settings are considered.

Assessment Portfolio of work (6000 words): 50% + Tests: 50%
