Empirical research in psychology part II

8 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: Completion of GED0151 in the first half of the same academic year

Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to apply appropriate statistical techniques to test the predictions generated in the research proposal and interpret and report the results of their data analyses in a manner consistent with the style promulgated in the publication manual of the APA.

Synopsis Students will carry out their planned research, collecting and analysing the data and producing a report, discussing the design of the study, describing practical difficulties that arose and how they were dealt with, and describing implications of the research for theory and practice.
