Evaluation and development of educational software

Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should have developed understanding of the ways in which educational software might be used to enhance learning; familiarity with software packages relevant to their areas of interest in education; understanding of approaches to software selection, and skill in assessment of educational software.

Synopsis This subject is concerned with the use of computer-based techniques as a means of learning. Techniques and problems in the selection, evaluation, design, implementation and use of computer programs in educational settings will be studied.

Assessment Two software assessment tasks (1500 words each): 25% each + Essay (3000 words): 50%
