Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should, as a result of participating in seminars, tutorials, group discussions, directed and other reading research, fieldwork activities and personal experience, be able to make sound and considered judgments about selected problems, issues and trends in contemporary sport.
Synopsis Specific topics might vary from semester to semester but include those related to administration in sport; sports coaching and training; drug control in sport; women in sport; children and sport; sport and politics; Olympic games; sport as entertainment and professionalism in sport.
Assessment Tutorial presentation: 30% + Literature review: 35% + Fieldwork report: 35%
