Objectives Upon successful completion of this subject, students should have an understanding of the educational implications for schooling exceptional children in regular schools; knowledge of the range, abilities and disabilities of exceptional children and the development of plans and strategies to meet these children's needs.
Synopsis The focus of this subject is to provide students with a comprehensive awareness of the range, abilities and disabilities of exceptional children mainstream in regular schools. Students will be introduced to the teacher's role in developing strategies and programs to meet exceptional children's needs through lectures, seminars, and guest speakers.
Assessment Written (up to 3000 words): 50% + Examination: 50%
