Real-time constraints. Protocol specification and rapid prototyping systems: introduction and theory; SDL; LOTOS; CHILL; Estelle. Conformance testing: approaches to, and limitations of, conformance testing; the need for and requirements of a conformance standard; the CEPT NET-2 and ISO 8882 standards.
