Objectives At the completion of the subject students should know the functions and roles of the key components in analogue and digital circuits; and be able to design, construct and test a variety of digital and analogue electronic circuits, and carry out theoretical and practical analysis of the behaviour of such circuits.
Synopsis In this subject students expand their work on the concepts and characteristics of electronic devices done in RDT1120, and further develop the principles and methods of circuit analysis. The syllabus includes LS and CMOS devices, AC circuits, circuit analysis models, and operational amplifiers.
Assessment Examination (2 hours): 60% + Assignments and practical work: 40%
