background should substitute another subject
Synopsis This subject provides an introduction to quantitative methods
and statistics in business and commerce. The main topics include presentation
of business data; index numbers; financial and economic performance indicators;
accessing and using Australian Bureau of Statistics data; measures of central
tendency and dispersion; probability; marginal analysis; frequency and
probability distributions; hypotheses testing; regression and correlation;
survey sampling.
Assessment Practical assignment: 20% + Examination (2 hours): 80%
