Synopsis This subject is usually taken in conjunction with the masters degree by minor thesis. It involves the initial study of a research area including the preparation and presentation of a research proposal. The proposal is presented at a research workshop held in semester 1 and is assessed. Additional assessed requirements are the preparation and presentation of a working paper outlining the main features of the research. The working paper is usually prepared in conjunction with a supervisor and its presentation is made at a research workshop held in semester 2. Students completing under former regulations should enrol in this subject in the final semester of their studies for the masters degree.
