6 points + One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Second
semester + Clayton + Prerequisites: A first-year quantitative subject
Synopsis The subject will cover a range of methods used in operations
research. It is suitable for students wishing to study quantitative models
currently used in industry and commerce. The emphasis of the subject will be on
practical applications and case studies. The methodology will be described and
students will be provided with appropriate computer software to develop their
own models.
Assessment Written: 15% + Examination (2 hours): 85%
