Objectives On completion of this subject, students should be aware of the nature and benefits of planning; have a detailed knowledge of alternative types of business plans; be able to research and prepare strategic and marketing plans; be aware of the issues involved in the implementation of plans and monitoring of the implementation process; write and present plans in a form acceptable to business clients.

Synopsis Topics include role and benefits of planning; types of planning; development of strategic and marketing plans; implementation of plans.

Assessment Case studies: 25% + Seminar presentation: 25% + Assignment : (5000 words): 50%
