Objectives This subject aims to provide students with insights into international retailing, including both retailing in overseas markets and expansion of retailing off-shore.

Synopsis This subject offers students insights into international retailing, including trends in overseas markets and issues of developing off-shore retail ventures from an Australian base. Students will take a strategic view of international retail markets, in the context of key management issues in the globalisation of the retail industry, such as cultural differences, economic environments, and demographic variables.

Assessment Case-study analysis (3000 words): 30% + Seminar paper (3500 words): 30% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
