PhD research methodology

Associate Professor Alan Simon

One 3-hour class per week + Second Semester + Caulfield

Objectives On completion of this subject students will be aware of what is required from a PhD candidate, familiar with the methods and issues in business research and equipped with the necessary skills to produce their thesis.

Synopsis Study topics include PhD proposals; what is expected in a PhD thesis; research designs; qualitative and quantitative techniques of data production and analysis and innovative research in substantive areas such as accounting, banking and finance, management and marketing.

Assessment Written proposal (up to 12,500 words): 100%
