Objectives On completion of this subject students should have an advanced understanding of employee relations and develop the tools and techniques necessary for the development and negotiation of enterprise agreements within the Australian work environment.

Synopsis Examine the economic; legal and industrial support structure for enterprise agreements; strategic choices theory; process issues: tools and techniques of change; the tools of enterprise agreements: critical success factors and improved performance outcomes; evaluation and implementation issues for firms and employees; a systems approach to enterprise agreements; and result and outcomes for employees, unions, organisations and the nation, ie: the contribution of more flexible and dynamic employer/employee relationship.

Assessment Written assignment (2000 words): 30% + Work project report: 40% + Examination (2 hours): 30%
