Research project in marketing

6 points + 3 class hours per week + Distance: approximately 12 hours per week + Second semester + Gippsland + Prerequisite: GBU3405

Objectives The objective of this advanced level subject is to develop skills in solving real world marketing problems. Students will be required to combine their knowledge of marketing and other subjects with enhanced research skills in the completion of the project.

Synopsis Introduction, the role of business research and the overview of - theory building and the research process, review of literature, problem definition and development of research proposal, research methods for collecting primary data, measurement concepts, sampling and fieldwork, data analysis and presentation.

Assessment Progressive research report: 40% + Final report (4500 words): 60% + Students must obtain a satisfactory result in all areas of assessment
