Financial instruments in foreign capital markets

6 points + 3 hours per week + First, second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: FIN2401 and FIN2601

Objectives Students should be able to understand the legal and financial aspects of these instruments and the roles that they play in the markets.

Synopsis Eurobonds; short term debt instruments; medium term notes; zero coupon issues and related instruments; equity and equity linked instruments; asset backed securities and hedging instruments.

Assessment Assignment: 30% + Examination (3 hours): 70%
