6 points + 6 hours per week + First semester + Peninsula + Prerequisite: FIN1311 or equivalent

Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to participate in conversations which enable them to establish good relationships with Japanese business people; read and write basic letters appropriate to various business and social situations.

Synopsis Consolidate and further develop students' knowledge of Japanese; intermediate competence in spoken and written Japanese with particular emphasis on business situations.

Assessment Written test: 50% + Performance/speaking test: 15% + Listening comprehension: 10% + Immersion program: 10% + Quizzes and homework: 15%
