Issues in competitive advantage I

39 hours per semester + Caulfield, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, in-house (not offered in all locations in all semesters)

Objectives The aim of this subject is to develop the student's ability to analyse competitive conditions within industries and markets; to identify and develop the competitive advantage of a particular organisation and to formulate effective competitive strategies.

Synopsis In examining a range of concepts about the nature of competition, competitive advantage and competitive strategy; the subject is intended to provide a theoretical framework for the study os specific, current issues in competitive advantage which form the basis of the second subject in this area, ACC7401 (Issues in competitive advantage II).

Assessment Minor assignment: 25% + Major assignment: 45% + Examination (2 hours): 30%
