Advanced financial accounting theory

First, second semester, full-year + Clayton + Prerequisite: AAF4120 or equivalent

Objectives On completion of this subject students should be able to understand the methods and problems of research on topics in financial accounting including the analysis of financial statements. Students should be able to apply this knowledge to the preparation of papers that demonstrate an understanding of the methodology, statistical techniques and results of research on topics in financial accounting

Synopsis This subject is concerned with the methods and problems of research on topics in financial reporting including the analysis of financial statements. Students will usually be required to submit two research papers on topics in financial reporting.

Assessment Written (12,000 to 15,000 words): 100%
