Objectives The objective of this subject is to build on earlier graduate work to enable the student to develop expertise in a special field of accounting and finance. As a result of their work in the subject students should be able to write up their work in a structured and coherent manner in the form of an article which is of a publishable quality.

Synopsis This subject will consist of a study in a special field of accounting and finance in which no formal subject is available. In such a subject, normally open only to students who have previously done other work with the staff member concerned, the supervisor will prescribe a list of references, consult frequently with the student and set whatever written work and examinations the supervisor deems appropriate. Students interested in a reading subject of this type should first consult the head of the department.
