Advanced practice skills for human services B

3 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: WEL3310.
Students should be involved in ongoing practice to undertake this subject.
Synopsis This subject will challenge students to explore the theoretical
frameworks of their present practice methods. Opportunities are provided for
students to expand their perspective to include psychodynamic, systematic and
solution focussed thinking. Formal presentations of practice material along
with group supervision, role play explorations and reflecting team
interventions will be utilised.
Assessment Essay (4500 words): 75% + Case presentation report: (1500
words): 25%
Recommended texts
All readings for the semester will be bound and available to students at the
commencement of classes.
