Advanced practice skills for human services A

3 hours per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisite: WEL2390
Synopsis Reflecting teams, narrative therapies, focusing on solutions,
using metaphor, externalising and other therapeutic strategies will be
introduced. Empathy, transference, unconscious processes and resistance will be
explored. Students will be introduced to voice dialogue theory and
techniques.
Assessment Essay (4500 words): 75% + Tutorial presentation report (1500
words): 25%
Recommended texts
All readings for the semester will be bound and available to students at the
commencement of classes. A list of suggested reading will also be made
available.
