Australia-Japan economic relations

First-year Japanese language, studies or economic subject or the permission of
the instructor
Synopsis This subject reviews the economic relationship between Japan
and Australia. It examines its nature and major issues in Australian exports
and imports, marketing and distribution, Japanese investment in Australia, the
transfer of Japanese management and technology into Australia, and Japanese
tourism as well as the implications of Australia-Japan economic relations for
Pacific economic cooperation.
Assessment Written (2000 words): 30% + Test (3 hours): 50% + Tutorial
participation: 20%
