Introduction to Japanese communication
Proposed to be offered next in 1997
6 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites:
No prior knowledge of Japanese language is expected
Synopsis This subject is suitable as a subject in a Japanese studies
sequence. It introduces students to the basic communication structure of
Japanese. It can also be used as an introduction to Japanese and Japan for
wider purposes. The subject leads to JPS1020 in the second semester.
Assessment Written (2500 words): 50% + Examinations (2 hours): 35% +
Seminar participation: 15%
