Synopsis This is an off-campus equivalent of JPL1310 and the syllabus is the same as for that subject. It is the first part of a two-semester sequence and is designed to be followed by JPL1360. Subject participation involves the completion of work at home based around a study guide and cassette and video tapes; submission of weekly written and taped assignments; and attendance at three Saturday workshops during the semester. JPL1350 must be completed successfully in order to proceed to JPL1360.
Assessment Mid-semester test (1 hour): 15% + Final examination (2 hours): 30% + Listening comprehension test: 15% + Speaking test: 10% + Weekly assignments and on-going assessment: 30%
