Synopsis This subject is where students apply the skills and knowledge acquired in GSC3421 (Writing 1). Through the production of a portfolio of their work, students will demonstrate knowledge of the different contemporary writing practices, forms of writing, and audiences. The portfolio will contain the results of a combination of individual and collaborative writing projects. Working closely with a supervisor, students will be assisted in the development of their particular strengths as writers. Students will be expected to choose and submit writing from the portfolio to an editorial board composed of other students taking the subject and staff teaching in this area. It is intended that the selected pieces will be published as a class project, according to selection criteria developed by the editorial board.

Assessment Portfolio (5000 words): 90% + Project (1000 words): 10%
