Welfare organisational practice III

Synopsis This subject will examine two areas of organisational practice:
organisational theory and law. Students will study organisational structure,
workgroup behaviour, competitive tendering, administrative skills, the
Australian legal system, and how the law impacts upon social work
organisations. The subject will include a compulsory twenty-day field education
placement, the aim of which is to integrate organisational and legal theory and
practice. Students should note that there are no weekend or residential schools
in this subject.
Assessment Field education workbook (2500 words): 40% + Law assignment
(2500 words): 30% + Tender document (1000 words): 30%
