Sociology of family and generation

Gippsland/Distance + Prerequisites: GSC1201, GSC1202 or equivalents. Students
who have completed 6322 (Sociology of the family) cannot enrol in GSC2201
Synopsis The subject will cover material on the following topics: family
structure and industrialisation, mate selection, family interaction, changing
gender roles within the family, family disruption and extended family
relationships.
Assessment Assignment one (1500 words): 25% + Assignment two (2500
words): 40% + Final examination: 35%
