Introductory French IA

6 points + 5 hours per week + First semester + Clayton
Synopsis This subject provides teaching in basic language skills and an
introduction to the society and culture of modern France. It is specifically
designed for those who have little or no knowledge of the language. Students
enrolling for FRN1010 must see the coordinator and complete an information
form. Admission to the subject may be subject to screening by means of a
diagnostic test. The department reserves the right not to accept enrolments
beyond the official enrolment periods.
Assessment Continuous assessment (class work, homework, tests, oral and
written tasks): 50% + End of semester oral test and written exam: 50%
