From Republic to Empire

Synopsis This subject deals with the establishment and disintegration of
the Roman Republic. It concentrates on the seemingly inevitable end of the
Republic, the civil wars that marked its transition to Empire and the emergence
to supremacy of Octavian, later to be known as Augustus.
Assessment Written (4000 words): 60% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
