Materials science

Materials science subjects are available at second and third-year level. Teaching of materials science subjects is shared between the departments of Physics and Chemistry from the Faculty of Science and the Department of Materials Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering.

An honours degree is also offered in materials science. Students who obtain an average credit level performance over the twenty-four points of materials science at third-year level are eligible to enrol in the fourth (honours) year, which is offered by the Faculty of Science.
