Policy, program planning and evaluation I

12 points + 2 hours per week + First semester + Clayton

Synopsis Students learn theories and models of policy and program planning and evaluation of human service programs, set within a study of their organisational context and political implications. Students study the key steps in, and methodologies appropriate to, planning and evaluation. Students participate in a planning or evaluation project for a community agency and negotiate the plan with that agency.

Assessment A major planning paper for a community agency: (6000 words): 67% + A major class presentation of 1 hour's duration: (3000 words) 33 %
