Helping skills
6 points + 3 hours per week + Second semester + Caulfield
Synopsis Models of helping; theoretical accounts, processes and goals of
helping; helping skills; attending, empathy, creating opportunities for
communication and reflection; practical sessions on basis counselling through
use of role playing and play back video; referral process and identification of
appropriate community resources.
Assessment Written (4500 words): 100%. + Assessment is on a pass/fail
basis
