Synopsis A selective study of contemporary French writing in
France, Canada, North Africa and Switzerland, with particular reference to
fictional explorations of the notions of modernity, `culture' and
socio-cultural identity.
Assessment One 2000-word essay: 30% + One 3000-word essay: 50% + One
1000-word class paper: 20%
