The life of the text: genesis, production, reception

Synopsis This subject (formerly `Aims and methods of literary research')
is a study of the theory and practice of authorship, publication and the
transmission and reception of literary texts from the earliest times to the
present day.
Assessment Major project: (5000 words): 50% + Essay (3000 words): 30% +
Exercise (1500 words): 10% + Seminar paper and class contribution: 10%
