10 points + 4 studio hours per week + Full-year subject + Caulfield + Prerequisites: FNE1900

Objectives On successful completion of this subject, students will possess an informed and tested idea of the kind of drawing practice which especially suits them as individuals; practised knowledge of the variety of intentions informing various kinds of drawing; a critical framework for placing perceptual or representational drawing within the broader expressive and conceptual concerns of the fine arts; enhanced skill in the drawing idiom of their choice.

Synopsis This level of study will be an extension of first-year drawing and concepts taught in first year. Understanding of drawing will be expanded with emphasis on innovation and experimentation focused toward developing a personal aesthetic.
