Objectives On successful completion of this subject students are expected to have demonstrated an ability to research and document historic architectural glass using appropriate methodology and an understanding of current issues in conservation and restoration practice; an understanding of glass constituents and manufacturing theory in historical and contemporary terms; an ability to proceed through the design process and understand the characteristics of successful design; an ability to produce works within the framework of contemporary culture; and an understanding of the relationships between architectural glass and architecture.
Synopsis This subject develops advanced design skills, techniques and finished glass works with an increasing emphasis on the professional approach to architectural glass and three-dimensional glass works.
