6 points + 3 studio hours per week + Full-year subject + Caulfield + Prerequisites: CER2420

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students will be able to Show evidence of a personal direction in their work; critically appraise and evaluate their own work; produce layouts and renderings to a professional standard; prepare a final presentation folio of drawings and designs related to their major study; understand various means of communicating ideas to prospective clients through drawing.

Synopsis This subject emphasises design in the context of the individual area of study to achieve the highest possible level of quality. This will develop greater awareness of individual goals, through personal investigations of the theoretical aspects of drawing and design, thus encouraging student initiative in the development, selection and presentation of a final-year drawing folio.

Assessment Folio: 90% + Research paper (1500 words): 10%
