Studio practice (glass and architectural ceramics)

36 points + 9 studio hours per week + Full-year subject + Caulfield + Prerequisites: CER2221

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students will be able to develop concepts and individual designs appropriate to the area of study; explore advanced techniques associated with glass working; continue research into the role and function of artists and glass designers; present a final folio appropriate for continuing as practising artist or post graduate student.

Synopsis Students will develop an approved work program in conjunction with lecturers in the subject. The work produced culminates in an end of year exhibition of a professional standard. This subject will also develop in students a professional attitude towards the marketing of their product via small business management, and links with galleries, industry, museology and exhibition design.

Assessment Folio: 80% + Studio research diary: 20%
