Drawing

6 points + 3 studio hours per week + Full-year subject + Caulfield + Prerequisites: CER1420

Objectives On successful completion of this subject students will be able to use drawing as a means to gain inspiration from their environment and to develop design for their chosen media; demonstrate competence with a broad range of drawing materials and techniques; show evidence of personal development and direction in their work.

Synopsis This subject will enable students to find solutions to specific visual/functional and aesthetic problems and help them develop their knowledge of materials, media and methods. Students will be encouraged to greater experimentation to discover a range most suited to their individual needs. Students will continue to develop their creativity, self expression, individuality and sense of aesthetic judgment and to establish their own educational goals.

Assessment Folio: 85% + Research paper (1500 words): 15%
