The Master of TESOL prepares students as language teachers for a variety of Australian and international educational settings. Students explore the connections between theories and practices of additional language acquisition, principles of language teaching and learning, and social and cultural contexts in language learning and use. The course covers areas such as teaching and learning additional languages, content-based learning, curriculum development and assessment, as well as critical and analytical skills to discuss research in the field of TESOL and apply it in professional contexts.
Students complete units in orientation to education, key constructs in education, enhanced professional learning and professional inquiry in TESOL.
