The study of photography and film includes the development of technical skills, and an understanding of the role of these media as an historical art form and a vehicle of contemporary art practice. As students progress through the sequence of photography and film units, they advance their photography skills and knowledge, and learn to use various techniques and tools to enhance their practice. They will develop their works in the context of contemporary visual art.
