With the proliferation of mobile and pervasive devices with network capability and the popularity and the availability of Internet, more and more users and application providers are seeking and providing services with the access and delivery paradigm of anytime and anywhere. In order to harness such rapidly changing technology, one needs to have clear understanding, knowledge and experience that transcends these technologies in order to be able to design, deploy and maintain networks and application services.
All students complete the requirements as outlined below in the degree in which they are enrolled.
For the sequence of units required to complete the Master of Networks and Security, refer to the Handbook entry for the relevant course.
To qualify for the Master of Information Technology with a specialisation in networks and security, students must complete six units (36 points) from the following list in place of units listed at (c.) and (d.) in the Master of Information Technology course requirements:
* At most, two of FIT5010, FIT5124 and FIT5129 can be completed as electives within the Master of Information Technology.
