This unit is the final part-time component of the Journalism Research Project, where students produce an original piece of supervised scholarly research in Journalism studies relevant to journalism, the specific topic to be agreed between the student and supervisor. This research is written up and analysed in a scholarly essay of approximately 15-18,000 words, or in a substantial piece of journalism of 10-13,000 words or equivalent in a journalistic medium plus an exegesis of 5000 words.
On satisfactory completion of APG5811 and APG5812, students will be able to:
Substantial progress towards a research essay (18,000 words) or a major piece of journalism (equivalent to 10-13,000 words) plus a 5000 word exegesis 100%
