This unit offers students the opportunity to develop and extend their understanding of cultural industries and economies through placement with an industry partner. In consultation with the unit coordinator, students will identify and contact a suitable industry partner and arrange a term of four to five weeks to work with the industry. Students are required to analyse and reflect upon their internship experiences, and the broader industry contexts of their placement.
Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
Placements: students are required to undertake a minimum of four weeks' internship with an appropriate industry partner (in consultation with the unit coordinator).
Internship proposal: 20%

On-campus: 100 hours (in total) engaged in consultations with unit coordinator; library research, reading.
Off-campus: 150 hours (in total) engaged in internship placement.
