Synopsis

The aim of this unit is for students to develop and complete an independent research project of 9000 words. Students carry out their research and write the project under the supervision of a member of academic staff.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students should be able to demonstrate:

skills to initiate and conduct independent research
knowledge of the key questions and issues pertaining to their field of study
an appreciation of and commitment to ethical research
advanced written skills through the presentation of a 9000 work project
locate, analyse and integrate relevant literature
