Students in undergraduate teacher education and sport and outdoor recreation courses must successfully complete fieldwork of a specified number of days of professional experience. This may consist of supervised teaching days, community fieldwork and experiential learning program days. The number and type of professional experience days depends on the student’s course and level.
Professional experience connects the theoretical components of students' academic studies with the practical aspects of teaching, and provides students with real-life experience to put their learning into practice. Students must meet specific security clearances before participating in a professional experience in any educational setting.
Refer to the relevant course for specific fieldwork details.
