Overview of women and children's health in resource poor settings with a life cycle approach. Includes health status of women and children and policy trends; analysis of determinants of women and children's health in poor communities; intorduction of concepts in planning, implementation, management and evaluation of effective strategies; gender analysis; reproductive health; maternal and neonatal health; children's rights and healthy ageing.
On completion of this unit students, will be able to:
