Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Commerce

To complete the finance major in the Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Commerce, students must complete:

Semester one

(a.) Two compulsory units (12 points):

• AFX4000 Research methods
• AFX4010 Research proposal

(b.) two of the following units (12 points):

• AFX4030 Advanced modelling in finance
• AFX4060 Issues in corporate finance
• AFX4080 Issues in banking

Semester two

(a.) Research dissertation (18 points)

• AFX4018 Research dissertation

(b.) one honours unit (6 points) subject to the following conditions:

• any honours unit offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Students must have their enrolment approved by the head, or nominee, of the Department of Accounting and Finance.
