SynopsisEDF4408 History education introduces the teaching and learning of History as a stand-alone discipline or rigorous component of an integrated Humanities program in either secondary school or historio-cultural wider education settings. Whilst History education remains mindful of the requirements of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards and Victorian Certificate of Education, the unit assumes responsibility for developing competent 'specialist' History educators who will work in diverse education settings and global locations with equally diverse History program documents and learners.
